Well, here's me in a nutshell:

I'm 27, born and bred in Liverpool. I've been sewing for about 8 years.

I've always been an 'arty' type, so when I left school at age 16, I went to college and studied art further, which turned into textiles/fashion studies, and then a fantastic Clothing Technology course which taught me tons of stuff (mainly the factory manufacture side of garment construction.)

After that I went to work as a demonstrator/consultant for a major international sewing machine company, then moved to an independant sewing machine dealers, where I learned all about the mechanics and repairs (Plus got to play with lots of different brands and models!)

I eventually left the dealers to set up my own bespoke dressmaking business, which is still in it's infancy. Quite scary but I'm loving it!

This journal is really just to accompany my sewing projects and fabric finds. I'm learning lots through all the different communities too. Isn't the Internet a fabulous thing?
